INTRODUCING ANA STEELE

Ana Steele was born in Auckland, NZ as the 1970's came to a close. As a child, her obsession with fashion was apparent.
The wearing of red roller skates to bed was considered an unquestionable, though slightly impractical sleeping essential.
With this awareness of the importance of dressing herself thoughtfully and with passion, Ana began her investigation into the realms of fashion. The years following her study at Elam Fine School of Arts and AUT were spent as a stylist, costume designer, and accessory designer while working part time as a workroom assistant for Auckland boutique Feline. Her fate as a fashion designer was decided after encouraging success in a NZ competition searching for young fashion designers.
In October 2006 PattisonSteele, a workroom/retail showroom was opened with fellow designer Michael Pattison. Showcasing both designers' talents equally, this Grey Lynn headquarters was the birthplace of Ana Steele's debut collection. Ana's style is dark, chic, sexy and mysterious with a touch of sophistication and glamour. Her fabrics are hand picked and she takes inspiration from all things beautiful.
